How Reina handles a crisis

01 Reina is an AI, not a person

Everything Reina says is generated by AI models. Reina is not a human being, cannot diagnose or treat anything, and is not a substitute for a real relationship or professional care. A small note under the message box says this too, every time, not only here.

02 If Reina thinks you might be in crisis

If something you say suggests you may be in real danger, Reina sets the usual persona aside and talks to you plainly and warmly, in its own voice.

Reina shows you a short list of places where you can reach a real person, once, gently, rather than repeating it at you. Reina pauses its own commentary and check-ins so nothing talks over you. And Reina stays: for as long as you want to keep talking, it keeps talking. Reina does not end the conversation, change the subject on its own, or hand you off.

03 What this does not do

• No person is watching or reading. To tell a joke from a real moment, the words, a little of the recent conversation, the time and what is on screen go to the same AI service that already answers your messages, only to make that call. Nobody is contacted or alerted.
• Reina does not keep the words: not in its logs, not in its history, and not anywhere else. All that is kept, on your own PC, is a plain count of how many times it has happened and when.
• None of it becomes one of Reina's memories, and none of it is used to train anything.
• It can be wrong in both directions. It can miss something real, and it can notice something that was only a joke, a game, or a line from a video. Jokes are meant to be left alone, and usually are.
